When developing new products, the high cost of mold opening may discourage customers, but making changes on existing products can effectively reduce development costs. Dewin has thousands of products in its product library, and is very experienced in customization, and will try to meet customers’ needs. Not long ago, we helped a start-up company develop a new laptop desk.
Existing products
The customer wants a laptop desk with a bag on the back and has also consulted with other suppliers. In the absence of similar products, the customer’s budget cannot afford the expensive mold opening costs. However, we have similar products in the existing product catalogue, so we sent customers pictures and videos of laptop products with bags on the back for their reference.
Customization requirements
After seeing our existing products, the customer indicated that they did not meet his requirements and hoped that we could customize them according to his needs. Our designers, after communicating with the customer, modified the design based on the existing styles without opening new molds.

Sample inspection
After deciding the customer’s needs and product design drawings, our factory produced samples three days later, and the quality control personnel of the Dolphin Service Department of the company carried out video inspection with the customer. The customer was very satisfied, which was the lap desk he wanted.
After the inspection was completed, the customer signed an order of 1000 pieces with us and promised to choose Dewin if new products were developed in the future.
